Enlarge Northern Michigan University Band Room Currently, NMU band room does not allow the entire band to practice in one room, requiring half the band to stand in the hallway during rehearsals and have one director in the hallway watch the other in the room. Northern is the only teacher education school in the UP with a Music Education program and is vital to providing music teachers to schools across the region. This financial assistance will give NMU the resources to enlarge the room.
