The MotorCities National Heritage Area (NHA) educates residents and visitors about the historical significance of the automobile industry and its impact on Michigan, the nation, and the world. Regional reach: The heritage area spans 10,000 square miles across 16 counties, impacting 5 million residents. By providing this one-time appropriation, the MotorCities NHA will be able to place 15 MDOT-approved signs at various locations within the heritage area. The signage helps people identify and engage with heritage sites, fostering tourism and community pride.
