- This spending will support operations (including facility location) of one of the most successful prison diversion and re-entry programs in the country. Goodwill of Greater Detroit Flip the Script -- serving 16-39-year old probationers in two locations, one in Wayne County and on in Oakland County -- has an impeccable 23-year history of creating safer communities and stronger families, and empowering and transforming lives through career development, life skills, cognitive behavior therapy, GED prep, job placement, financial literacy and coaching, anger management and post-employment retention services. Benefits to the taxpayers of Michigan: - Saves the State of Michigan $16 million annually ($3 million allocation) - Creates safer communities and stronger families. - Reduces crime. - Reduces domestic violence. - Transforms probationers into healthy, stable, employed, tax-paying citizens. - Prison diversion rate of 90 percent.
