The requested directed spending will provide targeted restitution for damage sustained from road construction activities undertaken by the Michigan Department of Transportation within the last five years. The ELKS Epicurean Lodge #674 is 100 year-old fraternal organization with a well-established history of civic engagement and social support to countless Saginaw County residents. Prominent annual activities for the organization include scholarship awards to local graduating high school students, hosting Halloween and Christmas parties for area disadvantaged children. The organization has consistently partnered with the local Branch of the NAACP and other fraternal organizations in support of Get-Out-To-Vote efforts over the past 20 years. The organization has frequently extended its facility to host meetings and receptions for other non-profit organizations and civically oriented groups at no charge.
