The Negaunee Economic and School Safety Initiative will help create a second point of egress to the Negaunee High School. With only one point currently, should an emergency occur, it will make it very difficult to manage the preservation of life and property. The City is proposing to construct a crossing or underpass to develop a second egress to the Negaunee High School. The City, School and residents alike, believe school safety should be the top priority of this request. With secondary benefits accounting for added value (economic and recreational).
