The City of Monroe, in partnership with the Friends of St. Mary Academy Foundation, is seeking state appropriations to secure the funding needed to halt demolition and renovate a nationally significant historical building on the banks of the River Raisin in Monroe County and turn it into needed housing for the missing middle workforce for up to 100 single family homes.
