This investment would ensure that each fire station is equipped with a dedicated engine, improving response reliability for simultaneous incidents and large-scale emergencies. A previous engine was removed from service in 2021 after becoming cost-prohibitive to repair, and this request represents an opportunity to restore full operational capability while modernizing the fleet. A new engine, estimated at approximately $1.2 million, would align with existing apparatus and training standards, enhance firefighter safety, and strengthen both local and regional emergency response capacity for the greater community.
